The Jubilee Institute is a living tribute to His Majesty King Hussein's belief in the power of education to shape the future, providing both the keys to prosperity and the tools for sound and creative leadership.

Thanks to reforms initiated by King Hussein, Jordan's educational system now ranks among the best in the Arab world. According to the 2007 UN Human Development Report, the literacy rate of the overall adult population is very high at 91.1%, while the female literacy rate is one of the highest in the region at 91.4%.

The Jubilee Institute advances national and regional educational standards through the development of innovative curricula and training programs for public and private school teachers in Jordan and other Arab countries.

The Jubilee Institute encompasses the Jubilee School and the Jubilee Center for Excellence in Education. Its programs promote excellence, leadership, social responsibility and the use of advanced technologies, serving as an educational model for the region. The Institute has also been a pioneer in the fields of distance and computer-assisted learning, and in the spring of 2006, became the first school in the Middle East to include a Sun Microsystems Academy.
