The history of Mino ware 1,000 years
Toki city with Rippu Seito Co., Ltd. is located in the center of Tono ceramic zone producing approx. 60% of national production of ceramics in Japan.
The ceramic ware technology which it lasts more than 1,000 years and cultivated is still protected by the people since Sue ware at the end of seventh century.
The company which inherits the tradition of 100 years
In 1914, Toki city of the Mino ware who inherited a superior tradition, it is founded as a tableware manufacturer. The main manufactured product is a sake bottle. After, we produce dining ware and mug cups for overseas. In 1978, the production of mug cups is proud of world's best amount of production at the time of 1,500,000 mugs per monthly productions (70% for U.S.A. and 30% for Euro & other foreign countries).In 1988; we use of a tableware production technology and start the production of the external wall mosaic tiles. We secure further stable high-quality by latest technology production machinery. In 2001, we introduced one of the world's largest tunnel firing kilns in which 108 meters (Approx. 354 feet) in total length. The total production volume of the mosaic tiles by one kiln becomes number one in Japan and reaches it at the present.
The production technology of the firing that changed from tableware to tile is inherited by the professional craftsmen to the next generation.
