その後、東京・神戸・横浜などに支店をつくり、現在では各々が独立・別法人化している。
文明堂総本店では、長崎産で文明堂総本店のカステラ専用の玉子「南蛮卵」を開発する等、厳選された原材料を使用し、カステラの本場長崎ならではの伝統の製法でカステラ作りを続けています。
