「竹害」と聞きますが、昔は食べる為にたけのこを掘って、竹も生活道具の色々に使ってましたから、竹林が人の手によって維持されていましたが、現代はあまり竹を活用しなくなり、掘ったり切ったりしなくなりました。
竹は、生き物として生長し、こどもを増やしていくので人間が切らないと増え続けてしまいます。竹が増えたのではなく人間が切らなくなったのです。
そこでグリーンリサイクル課では、竹や竹林を有効に活用し、日本の森を少しでも元気にしていきたいと考え、事業に取り組んでいます。
