Hayashi Syuzo Brewery was founded in the late Edo-era, 1837, in Sakiyama in Fukuoka Prefecture. It is located by Imagawa river, which flows through from Hiko Mountain. Founder was Kumataro Hayashi, who was gentle and loving person. When he started his own business, people loved his product but also his personality. The Hayashi family used to run three business, Soy Sauce, Candle, and Sake in Edo era. Later on, only Sake business was taken over generation to generation. Our main brand is Kusugiku (九州菊), which means Kyusy's Chrysanthemum. It is said that Chrysanthemum is symbol of prosperity, beauty, and ultimateness. Hayashi Syuzo Brewery continues to aim of brewing ultimate Sake still now. Historically Hayashi Syuzo Brewery won many awards for its sake.
