「湖水與天空被西沉的夕陽渲染成令人驚豔的色調」，這是拉夫卡狄歐‧哈恩（小泉八雲）筆下描寫松江與宍道湖的美麗景色。
被水包圍、有著許多名勝風景，現在您所在的地方，即是有「水都」之稱的松江。
17世紀初，面對著宍道湖在松林群生的土地上，諸侯建造了雄壯的城堡，以這個城堡為中心所發展出的城市，就是松江市的起點。
