「精根つきた」という言葉があります。精根つきた時には、こんにゃく・だいこん・れんこん・こんぶなど「コン」の付く食べ物を食べれば良いと江戸時代（正德2年）に実体験を素に書かれた「養生訓」の一節です。
それほど昔から馴染みの深い”こんにゃく”は、私達の食生活において、切っても切れない存在です。
弊社もこんにゃくを造り続け、気がつけば大阪・堺の地で、四世代バトンを受け継ぐ唯一の老舗蒟蒻屋となりました。
歴史ある蒟蒻ですが、食のグローバル化、製造の効率化、そして価格競争の中でこんにゃく本来の姿も変わりつつあります。
そんな蒟蒻製造業界に置いて、老舗である弊社はどう在るべきか、何を大切にするべきか、そして守るべきか、自問自答の繰り返しの中で出した答えが、「真っ当な蒟蒻を造り続ける」事でした。
