当店は、東海道五十三次随一の宿場として栄えた桑名宿、安永の地で安永屋として江戸初期に創業し、「やすながもち」はこの地の名物として、諸大名の参勤交代や、お伊勢参りの旅人などに広く親しまれ、以来ずっと桑名の代表的な銘菓として多くの人々に親しまれてきました。
