キプリングは1987年にベルギーのアントワープで誕生しました。世界65か国以上で販売され､幅広い世代に愛されているバッグブランドです。
現在キプリングは、世界的なブランドであるノ－スフェイスやVANS、 ジャンスポーツ、Leeなどを保有するアメリカのスポ－ツアパレル総合企業 VFコ－ポレ－ションの傘下に入り、より強固な体制でトレンドを創り続けて行きます。
ブランド名の由来がイギリスの小説家、ラドヤード・キプリング氏であることから、彼の代表作「ジャングルブック」に登場するモンキーがキプリングのアイコンとなっています。
