出雲三天神の一つ、三刀屋天満宮は後醍醐天皇の時代、学問の神様として崇められた菅原道真が、この地で休息されたのをしのんで建てられたのが始まりと伝えられています。天満宮のお膝元、その境内に咲き誇る梅（紅梅）の美しさに見せられて「紅梅しょうゆ」と命名。伝統を重んじ、しょうゆ本来の味にこだわり、「昔ながらの味わい｣として今に伝えます。
